FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

1. How do I list a yacht club or sailing association?
Create an account, then you can Add a Listing by being logged in and going to My Account, and the "Add Listing". We only need your email to register

2. Is my club or association already listed?
Searching listings by club name or location.

3. If my club or association is already listed, how do I update it?
Create an account, then - when logged in - go to the listing's page and click "Claim Listing". After you have received approval for your claimed listing, login and go to MY LISTINGS and you will see your claimed listing.

4. What are the current listings?
When we created this interactive directory this year (2013), we loaded the clubs listed from the SOUTHWINDS magazine website, which listed 166 clubs and associations in the South. It only listed abbreviations (eg, MYC), name, city, state, phone, website link.

5. How much can I put in my listing?
You can do a short description (about 100 words) with logo, plus you have your own page where you can do a complete listing with photos, links, schedules, etc. You have room for about 500 words, besides name, address and contact information. With the address, you can have a Google map appear on the page. See the sample listing at the beginning of the club listings.

6. Can I upload logos and photos? 
Yes. Logos and photos.

7. How often can I update my listing?
Whenever you want, just login, go to MY LISTINGS, update the listing and submit changes.

8. Can I list a club/association run by a business?
Yes, but this directory is only free to not-for-profit organizations. We will charge for listing profit organizations, at the discretion of the administrator. Contact editor@southwindsmagazine.com.

9. Can I advertise on these pages?
